Interesting

You know, I never anticipated actually using my blog this much...and I always hated journaling. But for some reason...I'm actually enjoying putting my thoughts down on this site, getting them off my mind and putting them in order on here. I've hated journaling for a long time, and Ron told me I should pray about it, and then journal about it. I should write "Lord, why do I hate to journal?" and then listen to what the Lord's saying and then write down whatever He's saying. But after I wrote the question I didn't hear anything. I think it's partially because I haven't been living the cleanest lifestyle, but also because the question wasn't true anymore. I don't hate journaling anymore. I kinda felt like I was hearing something about "I don't like not having control, especially over how I choose to spend my time and I felt like journaling was a waste of time" or something like that. But I wasn't sure where that was coming from so I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to it. So, I wasn't upset that I didn't really hear anything from the Lord to write down, but a little while later while I was kinda worshiping in my bed, listening to some Jason Upton, God was like "Think about it son, you don't really hate journaling now. You've been journaling for a few days. It's not quite the same as journaling on paper, but I am still glad that you're doing it."

Something else that's been on my mind the past couple of days, that is rather disturbing and is no doubt from Satan, but I can't seem to shake it. It seems like whatever I'm involved with is better off without me. I mean seriously...I missed intern class yesterday morning, and Dave said it was really deep and it was awesome. Ok...that's annoying. A few Sunday's ago, I was outta town and didn't get to go to church, and I find out that it was just about the best Sunday ever. Ok...that's frustrating. Next thing you know, I'll find out that my men's meeting I missed was the best ever. I mean...I really feel like a hinderance or like I don't belong or something and it's pissing me off because it just doesn't register to me as something that can be true because God's word says otherwise. And I've learned that what you believe is what you think, what you think is what you feel, and what you feel is what you do. So...I'm feeling like I don't belong and like a hinderance. Are my actions effected by my feelings? Am I doing anything that would show the way I'm feeling? Probably. I didn't go to my men's meeting this Monday on purpose...and I planned to lie about it. Holy crap. I need to talk to some guys about this. And I almost started to consider dropping the worship team, and the youth team, and even not going to church. I must find the route of all this crap, get rid of it, and replace it with truth.

Oh dear...

I got a hair cut and shaved my face clean, and it felt great outside in the fresh-air wind. But the main reason I'm writing this, is because I've become a bit...concerned? No, that's not the right word. I can't find the right word...it's a little more than curious, but not quite concerned...anyway, there's this area on my right-outside ankle about the size of a quarter that is textured strangely. Not only does the skin feel weird, but it feels weird itself...like...you know when your arm falls asleep so bad that it's completely numb and you can't even move it because the blood's been cut off so long and then it is ok within 5 minutes?(I think they call it dead arm or something) Well, that's sorta how that area feels when my finger touches it...it feels numb, but the ankle still knows it's being touched. And that small area takes a great deal to hurt. I just dug my fingernail into it and it took a lot of effort to get it to hurt. Probably not the smartest thing to do...but whatever. Mmmmmmmmmmmm...I make some lemon-lime Kool-Aid, and it is so incredibly yummy!!!

Monday

Ok, I decided that I wanted to elaborate on the whole "Monday is the worst day of the week thing." If Monday isn't the worst day of the week for you, just bare with me on this. Ok, in high school, I used to think that Monday was the worst day of the week, and a lot of people that have a full time job think it is too. The main reason being obvious, it's the first day of the week, making you come back to work, interrupting your weekend. But here's another big reason why Monday's are so unpleasant. The day before Monday is Sunday...duh. HA! Anyway, Sunday is an important day of the week. It's the day of rest, it's the Sabbath day, it's the day where tons of people gather to worship God. We receive revelation and healing and all that good stuff. Naturally, Satan is a loser and he's going to try pretty hard to ruin anything that God's doing, and Satan doesn't usually wait very long to start working...at least in my experience. So, this leads to Monday. It's so tempting to fall back into everything that was taken care of on Sunday. So, it's a spiritual thing, not just a work thing. Of course, that same battle and temptation is there the rest of the week, but I believe that if we can have victory on Monday and stay in the Spirit, it will have a huge affect on the rest of the week, that is as long as you don't put your guard down and say "Yay! I did a good job! I got victory on Monday now I can relax and have a good week!"

Fasting

Well, hello peoples...or people...or person...or however many read my posts...today is Monday, supposedly the worst day of the week...interesting topic, I'll get into that later. For now I'm thinking about fasting. I was talking to my friend Chelsey online and she was getting ready to leave and she said that she was going to a dinner later tonight with a friend. He was breaking his fast and he was really hungry. Then I got to thinking...how many times do people fast for a day or two or three and then go out and totally pig out till it hurts? This does not apply to me because although I do pig out till it hurts every once in a while, it's not breaking a fast, HA! Anyway...ask yourself...what's the whole purpose of fasting? Well, from what I've gathered, it's telling your flesh who's boss and disciplining it. It's cutting off your flesh and focusing on the spirit to have more of a connection with God or however you want to define it. But...if people are so worried about how and where they're going to break their fast, and they can't wait to break it because they're so hungry!......what's the point of fasting?

Fresh

It's Sunday morning, almost time for church and I feel like crap. But it's not all that bad. I just am super stuffy in da head and my throat is tore up, leaving my voice even deeper than usual which is kinda kool! And all my muscles hurt. But for some reason, I woke up this morning feel...fair, almost good. I've always been a night person, hating mornings, but I'm beginning to love mornings and see their beauty. Think about how each night, the sun will fall and it will be dark, the day has ended. But then the sun resurrects, and in a beautiful show of shiny colors, it's a completely new day. Jesus makes all things new. He makes the day new. He makes my mind new. Fresh. Praise the Lord!
